Vincent Camus, MD, PhD, University of Rouen, Rouen, France, discusses a study investigating the B-cell and T-cell repertoire using a 5′ rapid amplification of cDNA ends (5′RACE) assay in primary mediastinal B-cell lymphoma (PMBL). The study found a high prevalence of somatic hypermutations and isotype switching, suggesting a strong involvement of activation-induced cytidine deaminase (AID) in oncogenesis. This interview took place at the 29th Congress of the European Hematology Association (EHA) in Madrid, Spain.
